ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
As indicated in the last newsletter, this year’s AGM, our 15th, will be held at 9 Powis Square, Brighton BN1 3HH on Monday, 16 March at 12 noon. 

If you have advised us that you are coming to the meeting please bring with you the following papers which are downloadable  We will not supply copies on the day.

The agenda for the meeting will be largely confined to required AGM business including approval of the annual report and accounts and election of the committee for the forthcoming year. It is expected to be a short, administrative meeting.

Nomination of committee members
Strings Attached has a committee currently comprising 5 members. The committee usually meets 4 times a year with email communication between meetings. If you would like to become involved, either as a committee member or by helping behind the scenes, please contact the Chair, Jill Bourne at info@stringsattachedmusic.org.uk .

Contribution to the AGM discussion in the event of being unable to attend
If you are unable to come to the AGM but have comments on the papers or ideas for future activity, please send them to the Secretary, Margaret Polmear, at m.polmear@btinternet.com.

Strings Attached 2026/2027 Season

As indicated in the last newsletter, there will be four concerts next season in order to to fit in with the Corn Exchange booking schedule.The dates are:

20 September 2026
22 November 2026
21 February 2027
11 April 2027

Details of performers and repertoire will be announced as soon as possible. Meanwhile, put the dates in your diary.

MEMBERSHIP

If you haven’t yet renewed your subscription the annual fee remains unchanged at £10 and membership is free for students. If you renew your membership now (or join for the first time) your £10 will take you through to July 2027. Just go to the Strings Attached website where you will find the online form (https://www.stringsattachedmusic.org.uk/friends/) and information on making the payment and a donation. Please complete a form for each person.

Your subscription and additional donations enable us to fund free tickets for 8-25 year olds after the suspension of the Cavatina scheme.

LOCAL PLAYERS DIRECTORY
The directory lists local amateur chamber musicians and is designed to help amateur chamber music players make contact with each other, be they string, piano or wind players.
