Many Strings Attached Friends will already be aware that Andrew Polmear, who has until this issue written all of our newsletters, died on 20th September. He is a huge loss for Strings Attached. An appreciation of his life and contribution follows at the end of this newsletter, which is a joint effort by members of the committee.

Many Strings Attached members will remember Joan Griffiths who, before her death, was one of our most loyal and generous supporters. This is a brief note to let you know the dates of the Coffee Concerts for the 2022-23 season. They are:

We hope to be able to give you details of performers and programmes in early July. It seems clear that the season will at least start, once more, at ACCA at the University of Sussex.

We hope everyone is enjoying the Brighton Festival.

Coffee Concert 20th March 2022 – Mithras Trio – Strings Attached Review by Michael Wilkinson

This has been a fascinating season, brought to a fitting end in this intriguing and splendidly performed programme by the personable Mithras Trio. Performances were not merely technically accomplished but deeply considered: each of the three works made considerable demands, not simply musically but in depth of emotion.
