FREE TICKETS FOR 8-25 YEAR OLDS
As reported in the last Newsletter, Cavatina is suspending operations for an indefinite period. As Strings Attached is committed to nurturing a love and appreciation of classical music among young people, the committee has decided, in the absence of the Cavatina scheme, to sponsor free tickets for those aged 8-25 during the 2025/26 season.
The Dome will invoice Strings Attached for the full cost of each free ticket. On the basis of free tickets issued in the last two seasons it is estimated that the cost of free tickets for this season’s 6 concerts will be in the region of £3000. Although our financial resources are sufficient to cover this, to enable us to continue this subsidy beyond this season we are making an appeal to members to add an additional donation specifically for subsidised tickets when renewing your membership. Any donation will be welcomed.
We will keep members informed of how this new system is working.
MEMBERSHIP – renew or join now!
Thanks to your membership of Strings Attached we are able this season to replace the Cavatina scheme out of existing funds. Please renew your membership and consider an additional donation to enable us to continue this subsidy in future years.
The membership year runs from 1 August to 31 July. The annual fee remains unchanged at £10 and membership is free for students. If you renew your membership now (or join for the first time) your £10 will take you through to July 2026. Just go to the Strings Attached website where you will find the online form (https://www.stringsattachedmusic.org.uk/friends/) and information on making the payment and a donation. Please complete a form for each person.
