THE SECOND OF SEVEN STRINGS ATTACHED COFFEE CONCERTS TAKES PLACE  ON 10th DECEMBER AT 11am IN THE CORN EXCHANGE

THE NEW CORN EXCHANGE!
Those of you who were able to be there will, we are sure, agree that the return of the coffee concerts to the Corn Exchange after so many years was a triumph. Not only were we taken on a musical journey from Bach to Ravel by the ravishing Heath Quartet, but the refurbished building provides much to admire and is a far cry from the Corn Exchange we once knew.

The people of Brighton and surrounding area clearly knew it was going to be a special occasion and came in droves. A record 430 seats were filled including 39 taken by young people under the Cavatina scheme. Even Father Christmas made an appearance, but that’s another story. To round off the morning, members of Strings Attached and guests of Brighton Dome enjoyed a post-show reception in one of the two elegant bars that have been created as part of the refurbishment. If you weren’t able to be there, we hope we’ve whetted your appetite to come to hear the Adelphi Quartet on 10 December at 11am.

SUPPORT YOUNG MUSICIANS
Create Music is excited to be taking part in The Big Give Christmas Challenge again this year to raise vital funds for music bursaries. Running for one week only, from Tuesday 28 November through to Tuesday 5 December, every donation received will be doubled by The Big Give up to Create music’s target of £9000.

One donation, twice the impact!

Create Music’s bursary scheme is more important than ever. Amid the cost-of-living crisis, 1 in 5 of the young people Create Music works with cannot afford music lessons. Over the next year, Create Music’s bursary scheme will enable 850 young people from low-income backgrounds to take part in music-making by subsidising fees for activities including music lessons, ensembles, and instrumental hire. The Big Give campaign could fund 50 bursaries to help Create Music offer accessible, high-quality music education to all young people across Brighton & Hove and East Sussex.
